Hello, Everyone My Name is Aakash.and Iam a Former Student of The Department of Folk Music and Villupattu The Tamilnadu Dr J Jayalalitha Music and Fine Art’s University Adayar Chennai. I was born in a village called Serumavilangai under Thirunallar Panchayat in Karaikal District of Puducherry and grew up in a Village called Surakudy under the care of my Grandmother Mrs.Boopathy Kuppusamy & my Younger Father and Younger Mother. I learned how to be a good person in life from my Younger Father , Dr. Mr.Thangara Mahendira Kalam, a world record farmer. And I first learned music from my Younger Mother, Mrs. Manjula Mahendiran Msc(MLT). Not only that, from a young age, I have been very interested in Folk arts, especially Folk Music , Villupattu,Street drama, Puppetry Show, etc. In that way, from a young age, I Developed my Talents by Singing Folk Songs and Writing songs Apart from that, our school's English teacher, Villisai Vender Kalaimamani and , who has received the Nallasiriar Awardee. After Watching the Villuppattu Program Conducted by Murugan sir I got a personal interest in the art of Villuppattu. Not only that, under his Guidance, I Participated in the National Level Group Folk Song Competition Between School Students, Kala Utsav, I held in New Delhi in November 2016 and excelled. Apart from that, for the last three years, I have been participating in the National Youth Festival organized annually by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India, and in the national level Group Folk Song Competition organized in states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, New Delhi on behalf of Puducherry Nehru Yuvakendra. Not only that, but I am also creating awareness in this society through my art forms. In that way, I am organizing programs like AIDS awareness,Corona awareness, tuberculosis awareness, malaria and dengue awareness, tree planting, rainwater harvesting, blood donation, and organic farming. In addition, I am teaching my art forms to the growing generations free of charge in government and private schools and colleges without any expectation, that is, without expecting any money or material. In appreciation of my artistic talent, organizations like Puducherry Government Nehru Yuvakendra, Puducherry Government Kalaimamani Awardee Association and Puducherry Children's Art and Literature Development Association have honored me with awards like Youth Kalaichikaram, Kalai Ratna, etc I came to this university to pursue a diploma in folk music and Villupattu to further improve my artistic skills and to get a certificate in folk art form. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Vice Chancellor of our university for providing this good opportunity.
